Dive Into History Through Research and Internships
St. Kate's history program broadly educates you in the history of Europe, the United States, and Asia through five required courses, after which you are free to design your program by choosing at least four upper-level courses in subject areas that interest you.
In your senior year, you will discuss historiographical methodology with peers, complete a substantial historical research project using primary and secondary sources, and present your research to the University community.
The Minnesota Historical Society — which houses a state-of-the-art research facility and visitor-friendly museum — offers internship opportunities for students, and is located just minutes from our St. Paul, MN campus. There are also several city and county archives and historical museums in the area.
With a degree in history from St. Kate's, you'll be aptly prepared for many careers. As a historian, you can work in
